Quick Help Reference!
For
all types of failures please check these items first.
-
1st thing one should always check for is to make sure
the power to the Furnace is on. Some people do not know were there
breaker or fuse is for there Furnace. If you do not know this, you should find
out. A lot of the time there may be a switch right at or on the Furnace
itself. Make sure that no one accidentally shut this switch off.
-
Make certain your thermostat is up at least 2-3
degrees above the room temperature. I have many calls where I
arrived only to find the homeowner just didn't turn the thermostat up high
enough. You would be surprised how many times I have seen this.
-
When was the last time you replaced the batteries in
your thermostat? Most people do not realize that if there
batteries become low in there thermostat. This can cause there Furnace to
malfunction. So make sure you replace your batteries yearly.
If none of these have corrected your
situation you may now go to type of equipment that has failed for a more
detailed view of possibilities.
